Tesco warning for Clubcard shoppers as vouchers set to expire next week | The Sun

TESCO shoppers have less than one week to spend Clubcard vouchers before they expire.

Vouchers are handed out in February, May, August and November and are valid for two years before disappearing from accounts.

The UK's biggest supermarket issues a voucher worth £1.50 for every 150 points collected.

Customers must use vouchers first issued in August 2020 before Wednesday, August 31.

So if you've found a few old vouchers buried at the bottom of your wallet, you might want to think about checking the date.

Customers can use vouchers in-store and online to knock money off their weekly shopping bill or cut the cost of filling up their car with fuel.

That means a £10 voucher could be turned into £30 at a number of partners, including Pizza Express or Cineworld.

Customers can check the expiry date of their vouchers using the Tesco website or app.

The vouchers can be used online and in stores to save money on weekly shopping or filing up with fuel.

You can also trade the coupons online on Tesco's website, or use the app.

It means a £10 voucher could be turned into £30 with a number of partners, including Chessington World of Adventures and English Heritage.

Log on to the Tesco website or app to check when your vouchers will expire.

Earlier this week, Tesco announced customer's will no longer get three times the value of their Clubcard vouchers when buying its delivery plans.

It's a blow to online shoppers, as up until now, anyone wanting a pass worth £83.88 need only have used £28 of their Clubcard vouchers.

How can I extend my Clubcard vouchers?

Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert (MSE) has explained that Tesco customers can extend the use of vouchers they have earned through the Clubcard loyalty scheme.

By simply making a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards website , you'll get the remaining points credited back to your account.

For example, if you buy a 50p voucher with one of Tesco's partners, like Pizza Express, you'll get a £1.50 voucher to spend in the restaurant and the rest of your points will return to your Clubcard for another two years.

So if you had £10 worth of points and you buy a 50p restaurant voucher, the remaining £9.50 will go back to your account instead of expiring.

Find your nearest Tesco store using the branch locator online.

How does Tesco Clubcard work?

Clubcard vouchers are collected when you scan your membership card at the till at Tesco.

You get one point for every £1 spent – or one point for every £2 on fuel – and 150 points is equivalent to a £1.50 voucher.

It's better value for money to spend vouchers with one of Tesco's reward partners, but you can also spend them on your supermarket shopping.
