Tesco has introduced a range of garden furniture to more than 100 stores across Britain. The products will make a perfect addition to any garden ahead of summer, especially as lockdown rules are set to change next Monday and up to 30 people will be allowed to meet up outside.

Supermarkets are often battling it out to become the cheapest in the country, competing against each other to sell the most affordable products.

Tesco is the latest supermarket to launch dupes of Aldi items, but for cheaper prices.

The supermarket has launched a range of garden furniture that looks very similar to Aldi’s version, including a rattan sofa, a table and chairs set, and a barbeque grill oven.

Tesco’s range is sold only in stores, unlike Aldi’s which is available to purchase online too.

However, most of Aldi’s garden Specialbuys are currently sold out, with the supermarket’s website stating that stock will be back soon.

One of the items not yet back in stock at Aldi is the Anthracite Rattan Sofa and Cover, which is grey and costs £269.95.

Tesco’s version, the Havana Corner Sofa with Table, is also made of grey rattan but costs only £200.

Both sofas are L-shaped and include a table or footrest.

Another set of products in Tesco’s garden range is the Alicante String Chair with a Bistro Table.

This is similar to Aldi’s table and chairs set, which features two grey chairs made of string and a grey table for £149.00.

Tesco’s chairs cost £35 each and the table costs £20, which means that if bought together the items would still be cheaper than Aldi’s set.

Both supermarkets are also selling a barbeque grill oven, but for slightly different prices.

Aldi’s Gardenline Smoker BBQ is available to pre-order online now, while Tesco’s Barrel BBQ is currently available in stores.

Both ovens are made of steel and feature a barrel-shaped oven and wheels, so you can easily transport the appliance around your garden.

Aldi’s oven costs £64.99, while Tesco’s version is on sale for £40.

The biggest difference between both products is that Aldi’s oven features an extra grilling compartment.

Additionally, Tesco has a rattan egg chair similar to Aldi’s famous sell-out version.

However, this time, Tesco’s dupe is slightly more expensive than Aldi’s chair, costing £150.

Aldi’s chair, which is the discount retailer’s most popular Specialbuy item and is not currently available, costs £149.99.

Another difference between both items is that Tesco’s version is a standing chair, while Aldi’s egg-shaped seat hangs from a steel stand.

It is not yet clear when Aldi’s hanging egg chair will be back in stock, but the supermarket’s Specialbuys go on sale every Thursday and Sunday, at 8am.
