Spoilers: Zav gets closer to the truth about Cameron in Holby City

03/18/2020

Xavier (Marcus Griffiths) turns detective in tonight’s Holby City. When the person investigating Evan’s death wants to speak to Chloe (Amy Lennox), Zav notices that it’s Cameron (Nic Jackman) who’s looking shifty and decides he’s going to get to the bottom of whatever Cameron has been up to.

But he underestimates Cameron’s desperation to hide the truth, as he shows that he’s prepared to do whatever it takes to put Zav off the scent – and Zav soon finds the tables are turned against him as the battle of wills between the two men heats up. How far will Cameron go?

On Keller, Ben (Charlie Condou) has to look after returning patient Roger Ffolkes (Paul Clayton) – Lofty’s former saxophone teacher – who is very interested to hear all the latest gossip. He’s also interested in Ben (Sherwood, not Lofty), wondering why he’s afraid to be open about his sexuality. Will Roger help Ben to be honest about how he really feels?

Essie (Kaye Wragg) is facing an investigation by Children’s Services into her care of Isla and she’s nervous about what the outcome will be – she could face losing both Isla and her career. As if that wasn’t enough, she gets a phone call. Isla is dangerously ill and is being rushed to Holby.

Jac (Rosie Marcel) is poised to do a showcase piece of surgery which is doubly important because Darwin is still threatened with a takeover from private company Kestrel. She needs everyone to bring their A game – but Nicky (Belinda Owusu) has a problem.

The drugs trial she’s on is giving her some unwanted side effects and she doesn’t know if she’ll physically be able to be involved with the surgery. With Chloe’s help can she cover up what’s going on and keep in Jac’s good books, or will she put the whole operation at risk?

Max (Jo Martin) is distracted when she gets a letter from her daughter Lily, but she still has time to drop a devastating piece of news on Henrik Hanssen (Guy Henry). As Hanssen, Ric (Hugh Quarshie) and Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw) meet secretly to talk about the threat the hospital is facing, will Hanssen reveal what he knows?

Sue Haasler is the author of five novels and the official BBC Holby City book, which you can read about here.
