Queen Elizabeth’s Granddaughter Zara Tindall Has Exciting Family News12/10/2020
Zara Tindall is expecting her third child with husband Mike Tindall! Her husband revealed the news on The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast this week, saying, “It’s been a good week for me, had a little scan last week — third Tindall on its way,” according to People. The former England rugby captain shared his excitement about adding a third child to their family with his co-hosts. “We’re not sure what to do. I’d like a boy this time. I’ve got two girls. I would like a boy, but I will love it whatever, whether it’s a boy or a girl but please be a boy!”
The royal couple already has two children, six-year-old Mia and two-year-old Lena, the outlet notes. Their two daughters are currently unaware of their new sibling on the way, he explained, saying that their eldest would have told all of her friends at school. But, now that the news has broken, Mia will know the news soon!
This will be the ninth great grandchild for Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Phillip, according to CNN. People notes that the two are aware of the news and are “delighted” to welcome a new child into the family.
Zara Tindall previously suffered two miscarriages
Tindall, the second child and only daughter of Princess Anne, has experienced two miscarriages prior to this pregnancy, CNN notes, and is being particularly cautious this time around. Her husband said to the hosts that, “Z is very good, always careful because of things that have happened in the past, and really looking forward to it.”
On top of being a mother-of-three and daughter of a Princess royal, Zara Tindall holds her own title as an Olympic equestrian. Horse and Hound reports that she won a silver medal in a team event during the 2012 London games and CNN confirms that she met her husband during the 2003 World Cup when he was playing for their home country. As for announcing the news, Mike Tindall may have gotten himself into hot water by sharing it on the podcast, saying that his wife had yet to take it public “There’s a good chance she might just read it,” he said. “I’m not going to tell her that I’ve told you but, shh, keep it (quiet). No one will know. What, 150,000 listeners a week? No one will tell her!”
The newest Tindall will join the ranks of the world’s most famous family and enjoy all of the perks that go along with being royal.
