Prince Harry, 36, has been based in the USA since last March but despite his step down as a senior royal and move away from the UK, the Duke continues to honour his ties to Britain. One of Harry’s most notable achievements as a senior royal was launching the Invictus Games for injured veterans. Now the charity has partnered with NHS England to support frontline workers during the pandemic.

An Invictus Games Foundation tweet announced the new venture on Wednesday.

The post read: “We’ve partnered with @NHSEngland to support healthcare workers on lessons learned from #Invictus on the importance of looking after your physical, mental & social wellbeing!

“New podcasts coming soon, with the first one out tomorrow ft.”

Prince Harry’s statement to mark the special new project read: “For a year now, NHS workers have been engaged in a new kind of battle.”

The statement added: “They have consistently set-aside their own physical and emotional health in the service of others.

“This service and sacrifice resonate deeply with so many in the Armed Forces community.

“With this ongoing project, we know that the NHS and Invictus communities will learn from each other, support each other, and lead conversations that everyone can draw from.

“It is from these shared experiences I hope people can find strength, compassion, and understanding, and the inspiration they need for their own recovery and resilience.”

Language expert and author Judi James analysed Harry’s words for Express.co.uk and shared her findings.

According to the analyst, Harry’s use of “military tone” and language marks signals his wish to “return to the UK market” despite being based in the States.

Judi said: “This statement has been written in the form of a short speech and it shows Harry’s virtual return to the UK market, with its military tone and references and it’s discussion of the NHS.

“This sounds like the kind of work Harry would have been doing had he remained in the UK and the emphatic verbal re-linking might even endorse some of the rumours that he will be visiting here again sometime this year.”

The language expert noted that this was very much a “solo message” from Harry who is often joined by his wife Meghan Markle, 39 when it comes to charitable ventures.

Judi said: “It is very much a solo message as a Prince, rather than a US guru or a James Corden-style celebrity.”

Examining Harry’s use of language, Judi said: “The words used, like ‘battle’ and ‘in the service of others’ help to emphasise the links Harry is making between the NHS and the armed forces as he concludes with the goal of them supporting one another and having ‘shared conversations’.”

According to the analyst, Harry is keen to emphasise his lasting links to the Armed Forces.

Judi said: “When he says the NHS service and sacrifice ‘resonates deeply with so many men in the armed forces’ his choice of wording suggests consistent and on-going first-hand knowledge, which seems to be Harry keen to show his links with the armed forces are the same.

“His tone has authority and he seems to be reminding us that he still holds his leadership role in the armed forces close to his heart.”

Prince Harry is expected to return to Britain this spring for a string of Royal Family events.

His grandfather Prince Philip is due to celebrate his 100th birthday on June 10th and the Queen’s Trooping the Colour parade is planned to go ahead on June 12.
