As Easter is almost here, sweet-toothed Brits will already be making plans about how much chocolate they’ll be consuming, we know we are.

However, festivity after festivity our furry friends have to miss out on the action especially the highly important chocolate eating duties.

For their own safety, humans are advised to never feed chocolate treats to their dogs under any circumstances as even small doses can be highly toxic to our animals.

Usually our pets would miss out at Easter, that is until now because Pets at Home has just launched a range of pet-friendly Easter eggs to suit all of the furry members of your family.

The ranges start at £2 and go up to £6, making them an affordable option for pet-lovers, especially if you have more than one to buy for.

Pampered pooches can now tuck into a tasty 60g carob Easter egg, which is the dog friendly alternative to chocolate for just £3. For larger dogs with a bit more of an appetite, there's a larger 200g carob egg which is peanut butter flavoured and retails for £6, the ideal Easter treat for a very good boy.

You can also opt for the Oodles Of Egg's sharing pack if you have multiple dogs, which features six individually foil-wrapped eggs for £5.

However, it isn't all fun and games just for the dog parents, as the retailer has also released other alternative eggs for the other animals in the home too.

For the feline-favouring customers, there's the Purrfect Yummy Yoghurt and Catnip Easter Egg for £2, a lovely treat for kitty's over three months old.

  • Morrisons launch limited-edition Mini Egg cheesecake and it's the perfect Easter dessert

Rabbits, hamsters and other smaller pets can also join in with the Easter activities, thanks to the Dandelion leaf flavoured egg, which is also a very affordable £2. Each egg is carefully hand-wrapped and is sure to help your favourite pets feel included over the holidays.
