Next Sale has up to 70% off as early access opens to shoppers who signed up

07/06/2021

NEXT has launched its summer sale exclusively for VIP members who can get up to 70% off hundreds of products.

The sale isn't open to everyone yet, but if you have a Next Credit account you get early access to the massive discounted range.

Next has slashed the price of its clothes for women, men and kids as well as reducing hundreds of homeware items in the sale.

Shoppers who signed up to get the early access started receiving emails to book a slot from yesterday, so make sure to check for yours.

You can use the link you will have received to log in and book a slot from today until Thursday.

Once you've picked your slot you'll have from then until 2am on Saturday to shop the sale.

How to make the most of the Next sale

THESE tips from a Next employee can help you make sure you bag the best bargains.

  1. Familiarise yourself with the stock – check in store and online to see what items you might fancy, that means you'll be able to act fast once prices start dropping. Online you can even bookmark your favourites.
  2. Check online – often the sale launches online before stores open so go digital to get the best bargains.
  3. Consider the VIP scheme  – If you have a credit account you can get access to the sale 24 hours before the rgeneral public.
  4. Choose the right store – smaller outlets are likely to be less rammed, so you may have less competition for great deals
  5. Shop late in the day  – around two hours before closing, staff start replenishing stock for the next day, this is a great time to hit the stores.
  6. Look at ticket codes – if you're in a next keep an eye out for black dots on tickets, chances are that means an item is going to be discounted, so you're better off waiting till the price drops.
  7. Homeware and women's clothing sells fastest  – so you might want to get to stores first thing for these items

It's only online for the time being but when the sale opens for the rest of the public, discounted items will be available in-store too.

You can still browse sale items until your online slot starts but you won't be able to buy anything until you personal access begins.

Even if you haven't had an email yet telling you to book your slot, it's worth logging into your account as some customers are saying you can get access to slot booking anyway – you'll just need your account details.

After the early access ends on Saturday morning we expect the sale will be open for everyone, but Next hasn't confirmed this and we will update this story once we know for sure.

Lots of shoppers online have rumoured the official sale to begin on July 10, like one user from the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.

As always, when shopping the sale, it's best to have a look around at other retailers first, just incase you can find a better deal elsewhere.

Plus, it's worth noting that you should only shop the sale if you were planning on buying something anyway, otherwise you could find yourself going over budget making a purchase just because it is on sale.

If you just fancy a sneak peek into the sale, we've had a look at the items on offer and narrowed down some top picks. Check them out below.

Grey Slogan Bag For Life

  • Was: £5 Now: £1.50 Save £3.50 (70% off)

You'll be able to transport all your belongings in a new tote bag from Next.

In the sale this one only costs £1.50 and it also sports a fun "WFH" print reminding us all of the past year we've had, and the trials and tribulations of the "Work from Home" life.

Now you can get out and about more though, the discounted bag will come in handy.

You can pick up a funky printed tote bag from Shein for only £2.75, but that's still another £1.25 more expensive than Next's sale item.

Confetti Print Padded Underwired Bikini Top

  • Was: £14 Now: £3 Save: £11 (70% off)

The Summer is in full swing and while we might not be able to travel everywhere to top up a tan, some sunny countries have made it onto the green travel list, and there's always the back garden and a paddling pool.

You may need a new bikini top to complete the warmer weather kit though, and buying one in the Next sale means you could save more than a tenner on the full price.

You can also buy separate bottoms to match in the sale from £3 too.

At Boohoo you can buy women's bikini tops from £3.60 so they're slightly more expensive than what Next has on offer, by 60p.

Wide Grey Marl Tailored Wide Leg Trousers

  • Was: £26 Now: £5 Save: £21 (70% off)

Many Brits will be thinking about heading back to the office from July 19, now that the Prime Minister has announced potential changes to lockdown restrictions.

If you have the Next early access you could get a head start on the rush to buy more formal office wear, and pick up something like these smart trousers for a fraction of their full price.

This pair is tailored and has a wide leg style so you'll still be able to keep cool in the Summer months too.

You can buy women's straight leg smart trousers from M&S for £15 but that's makes them three times as much as Next's sale ones.

Nova Single Dinnerware Pieces

  • Was: £2.50 Now: 75p Save: £1.75 (70% off)

You can even pick up homeware in the Next sale, so if you fancy giving your kitchen cupboards a refresh you won't want to miss the discount prices.

This crockery selection is only 75p from Next in the sale right now.

You only get one of each item in the set so it's perfect if you have the place to yourself at home, or just need your own personal dining set.

Ikea sell cheap dining sets but unless you want to purchase items individually, the smallest set they sell includes 12 pieces.

This costs £10 so it's more than Next's but it means you get each item for around 83p.

Velvet Cushion

  • Was: £8 Now: £4 Save: £4 (50% off)

You'll be able to pick up an array of soft furnishings in the Next sale too, like this velvet cushion that's only £4 right now.

There are plenty of other colours to chose from in the sale as well, so you'll be able to find the perfect addition to your sofa or bed at the discounted price.

At Dunelm you can buy a crushed velour cushion for £5.60.

The home furnishings giant has slashed the original price from £7, but it's still £1.60 more than Next's is in the sale.

Puppy Pals Reversible Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set

  • Was: £15 Now: £7.50 Save: £7.50 (50% Off)

Bedding is going cheap in the Next sale too.

You can bag this cheap kid's single duvet set for half the full price at only £7.50.

It's got a fun dog print that's also reversible.

There are lots of other prints and colour combinations available in the sale as well, but this is the cheapest we've found and they start to get more expensive when you're after bigger bedding sizes.

You can actually buy kid's printed bedding cheaper at B&M despite Next's being in the sale.

It's only £5 and you can pick up a similar dog print as well as a cat print plus many more versions and colour options that are available from the discount home store.

Pineapple Drinks Dispenser

  • Was: £18 Now: £9 Save £9 (50% off)

The Summer months might even call for a garden soiree, and a new dispenser for your social gathering might just be the perfect buy.

This one comes in a funky pineapple shape too with a removable lid making it easy to fill up with cocktails and juice alike.

It's glass which gives it an elegant look but the good news is, the drinks dispenser is still shatterproof so you won't have to worry about it falling off the table during your party.

You can buy an almost identical pineapple drinks dispenser from Aldi but it's almost £4 more expensive at £12.99.

Meanwhile B&M is selling homeware dupes that cost up to 67% less than Wayfair or Dunelm.

Plus, Ikea launched a massive summer sale with up to 50% off furniture last month.

That's as well as launching its own "buy now, pay later" scheme letting shoppers spread the cost of buying new furniture without paying interest.
