‘My parents bought me tattoo gun – but I accidentally inked wrong part of body’

A woman who was bought a tattoo gun by her parents was left mortified after an inking mishap.

Emmie, 21, is a budding tattooist so was thrilled when she received a certain birthday present from her old folks.

The parents lovingly gifted the wannabe professional artist the machine along with needles and ink.

However, it didn't go quite to plan when Emmie tried out her new tool.

In a TikTok clip which racked up thousands of views, the creative shared how her first self-tattoo went horribly wrong.

And by that we mean she inked the wrong part of her body.

As she held the tattoo gun with one gloved hand, Emmie took the needle to the side of her finger.

Emmie attempted to focus inking over the smiley face stencil she had drawn as a guide.

But, she didn't quite follow it.

"Point of view: Your parents get you a tattoo machine for your birthday and before your first tattoo, you move and accidentally tattoo your knuckle," she explained in the clip.

She screamed "son of a b***h" as the needle buzzed over her knuckle.

While she attempted to rub it off with some kitchen roll, her dad aired his thoughts in the background.

"C'mon, what kind of moron are you?" he chuckled. "What in the heck!"

Emmie then shared a picture of the permanent six dots tattooed over her knuckle.

"Now I'll have a little reminder of this beautiful moment forever," she sweetly wrote in the caption.

Some people had sympathy for Emmie whereas others could relate to her blunder.

One person related: "Most realistic first self tattoo.

While a third voiced: "Oh no, poor girl."

"That must have hurt! Hope you don’t do that again."

Someone else said: "I know the knuckle hurt. I had my thumb done other day and it stung."

Meanwhile, a fifth mocked: "I think that’s a perfect first self tattoo."
