A proud mum is convinced her obsessed ten-year-old son is the UK's biggest Elvis fan – and he's desperate to be an impersonator.

Ben Harris has been fascinated with the iconic crooner since spotting him on a Horrible Histories episode called Monstrous Musicians back in November 2021.

After becoming enthralled with the legend of Elvis on the kids TV show, he immediately used his family Alexa to discover a range of Presley tunes, and became obsessed with "Suspicious Minds".

His mum, Rebecca Harris, 42, was forced to scour the internet to find him a £50 white, jewel encrusted outfit for Christmas as it was "all he wanted".

Little Ben even has the glasses to match, which he insisted on wearing to a tribute act in November 2022.

The schoolboy spent the festive period entertaining his family with multiple shows during which he sang and danced to all the Elvis hits in the full get-up.

Ben even spends his free time listening to the singer's back catalogue, and researching facts about his hero.

His football team now call him Elvis as he's so passionate about the singer.

Mum-of-two Rebecca, a dental nurse manager, from Wednesbury, West Midlands, said: ''He spent most of December doing shows for the family.

''We actually have to put a limit on how many songs he can do for us, or he'd just go on and on.

''He's such a character and is just so into Elvis.

''He loves his music, but it's also the whole history behind it too.

''If we ever get any Elvis facts wrong, we get put right very quickly.

''I think his dream job when he grows up will be to be an impersonator.

''Ben's also obsessed with the idea of going to Graceland and or Las Vegas so we're going to have to frantically save up for that over the next few years.''

Ben's favourite Elvis songs include Blue Suede Shoes and Suspicious Minds, and he's seen the 2022 film "Elvis" over eight times since it was released just a few months ago.

He loves his style, his gemmed suits and his iconic voice.

The youngster also loves the way he dances and shakes his hips, and has deep respect for how kind he was to his fans back in the day.

Ben thinks Elvis took "pride" in his music, and didn't care what other people thought.

As well as his interest in Elvis, Ben also enjoys more typical hobbies such as playing video games and football, but the schoolboy is more than happy to show off his love for The King of Rock 'n' Roll.

''His goalkeeper coach is also a really big Elvis fan, so they bonded over that and now the whole team call him Elvis," Rebecca added.

''Ben's grandparents happened to be getting some work done on their house when the guy mentioned he was an Elvis impersonator on the side.

''Ben was over the moon and this guy, Peter Rowles – we call him Peter Elvis – has been to a few of our family parties which has been a laugh.

''Ben just loves it – it's so nice to see and he's not afraid to be himself which is the main thing.

''His older brother, Jacob, 13, rolls his eyes a bit when Ben starts to sing and dance, but he just doesn't care.

''He's quite an extrovert really, he's very confident and a unique character.

''They really broke the mould when they made Ben.

''He's actually getting really into Titanic now too, so goodness knows what costumes I'll be buying next.''
