A mom-of-13 has raised eyebrows after revealing her 12 biological children’s unusual names. 

Veronica Merritt, from New York, has 12 biological children and one adopted child, and has become well known on social media for sharing an inside look at her life as a mother-of-13, which involves spending three hours on preparing dinner, driving around in a school bus, and color-coding their clothes. 

Most recently, the mom shared the names of her 12 biological children on her TikTok account and set social media users into a spin. 

In a viral video, which amassed more than 1.7 million views, Veronica detailed the names of her kids.

She began by revealing that her nine-year-old son is named Marvelous Artymis 

She shared the biological names of her children and followed with Martayla Annastasia (left), eight, and Dash Orion (right), 13

She captioned the clip, ‘I’m 37, here are the names and ages of my 12 biological kids,’ before sharing the unique names. 

The mom began with revealing her oldest daughter’s name was Victoria Adrianna, who is 22-year-old. 

Then she revealed her other children’s names were Andrew Vincent, 18; Adam, 16; and Mara Annalise, 15.

And then the names became slightly more unusual, with Dash Orion, 13, followed by 12-year-old Darla Annmarie.

Marvelous Artymis, nine, followed, and next were eight-year-old Martalya Annastasia, six-year-old Amelia Annabelle, and four-year-old Delilah Arianna.

The mom-of-12 finished off by revealing three year-old Donovan Oliver, and her youngest child, 10-month-old Modi Alexander.

‘I had to make an update because we had a birthday… plus last time I accidentally wrote the wrong middle name for Darla,’ she added in the caption of the viral video.

‘I know their names I swear – just easily distracted and must have hit the wrong auto fill word.’ 

Then she revealed her other children’s names were Adam (right), 16, and Mara Annalise (left), 15

Social media users were quick to share their thoughts, with opinions on the unique names divided. 

Many people on the video-sharing platform criticized the mother for her choices.  

‘Some of those kids are going to hate you for those names,’ one person said.

Another social media user wrote with skull emojis: ‘Marvelous Artymis? Dash Orion?’ 

‘Marvelous is going to be bullied for that name,’ someone else added. 

‘Like they got worse, then better, then worse again,’ a fourth person said. 

One social media user added: ‘Marvelous Artemis sounds like a Dr. Seuss character.’

‘That’s just too many,’ another person commented.

And while some social media users hit out at the mom, others praised her for choosing such unique names.

‘Love their names,’ one user added.

Veronica previously made headlines in September 2022 when she revealed she and her daughter were expecting at the same time. 

Her oldest child, Victoria, welcomed her first baby, a little girl named Maddie, and she said it was ‘pretty cool’ to be pregnant at the same time as her mom, who gave birth to a baby boy eight weeks earlier. 

‘It was pretty cool and our kids can be besties,’ she told Truly recently, with Veronica adding, ‘I think it’s fabulous, I think it’s so cute that they’re gonna grow up together.

‘Being pregnant at the same time as my daughter isn’t something that I ever thought was gonna happen, but I think it’s pretty cool.’

Veronica previously explained to The Sun that she became pregnant for the first time when she was just 14 years old.

Victoria was born in 1999 and five years later, she and her first husband welcomed their son Andrew, who is now 17.

After they divorced, she married her second husband, 38-year-old Marty, and they went on to have eight more children together.

She expanded her family once again, but this time, it was her daughter who gave birth – just two months after she did. The mother-daughter duo are seen with their kids

According to Veronica, she can’t take birth control because she suffers from kidney disease and it makes her too sick.

‘I have kidney disease and lost my kidney last year,’ she told the outlet back in August.

‘Some of the children were planned, but I can’t take hormonal birth control because my illness means I am prone to blood clots.’

She also recently adopted a 16-year-old son named Michel (pictured)

While speaking to Truly, Veronica admitted that the family is often met with stares from strangers when they’re out in public – who will say things like, ‘Wow you have your hands full,’ or, ‘Are they all yours?’ 

She has also received some backlash from people on the internet who have slammed her for having so many children. 

‘I get a lot of mixed reactions on my TikTok and Instagram. A lot of them are super supportive, but there’s a lot of negativity as well,’ she admitted.

‘There’s a lot of hate for pretty much no reason. We’re really nice people and if people took the time to get to know us, they would know that.’
