Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrive in Africa for Tour on delayed BA flight

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their son Archie have arrived in South Africa for their Royal Tour, despite suffering a delay on their British Airways flight.

The Sussex family have touched down in Cape Town just a few hours ahead of their first official engagement of the 10-day visit.

They arrived at 10.45am local time, flying from London Heathrow.

Meghan is carrying Archie in white blanket, and the little royal looks adorable in a white bobble hat.

The Duchess is wearing a light grey coat and has her hair tied up in a neat bun, while Harry looks happy and relaxed smiling broadly in a grey suit and white shirt.

The family have been greeted at the airport by staff in hi-vis jackets, and can be seen smiling and chatting away as they walk through the airport.

The couple's second tour – their first with little Archie – will see them attend a number of engagements relating to causes close to their heart.

Later today, Meghan and Harry will kick off their adventure in Cape Town, where they will watch a workshop that teaches kids about their rights, self-awareness and safety. It also provides self-defence classes and female empowerment training.

They will then go on a tour of the District Six Museum to learn about their work to reunite members of the community forcibly relocated during the apartheid era.

Afterwards they will join a community cooking activity with former residents of District Six at the nearby Homecoming Centre.

Tomorrow they will head to Monwabisi Beach to learn about the work of ‘Waves for Change’.

The non-profit organisation trains and supports local surf mentors to provide mental health services to young people.

During their time there they will also see the work of The Lunchbox Fund, one of four charities to benefit from the generous donations made by the public to celebrate Archie's birth.

The Fund provides nearly 30,000 meals every day to ‘Waves for Change’ programmes and schools in South Africa’s townships and rural areas.

While Meghan and Archie will spend the duration of the trip in South Africa, Harry will leave his family to tour Angola, Malawi and Botswana.

The royal family will then reunite in Johannesburg.
