Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan show off living room at new £3.5m mansion with huge sofa

One week on from moving into their lavish £3.5million mansion, Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have finally given fans at home a real glimpse of their dream living room.

After almost three years of painstaking work to create their ideal home, the couple moved into their luxury Essex pad earlier this month, with their stunning lounge just one of the eye catching rooms they now call their own.

Documenting the entire renovation process on their instagram account WrightyHome, fans who have followed their journey didn’t have long to wait before being treated to a first hand look at their fabulous living room.

In a story shared on Tuesday, the couple revealed that the furniture item receiving pride of place in the room was a huge, custom built cream sofa by Bella Home Interiors that spanned the entire length of one wall of the room.

Opting for a neutral palette, the sofa perfectly matched the pale carpet underfoot, which Mark had previously revealed came with its own set of house rules, including no shoes – before anyone was able to set foot on it.

Alongside the impressive sofa, they also revealed a small round coffee table, while a stack of books and a candle added a more lived-in feel to an otherwise immaculate room.

Originally purchased for £1.3million back in 2019, the project has been a real labour of love for the couple – with the fruits of their layouts even having seen the property more than double in value following the renovations, which included a brand new pool and stunning gardens.

Mark and Michelle have documented the renovation process every step of the way for the last three years, giving fans a behind the scenes glimpse of everything from carpet laying to design schematics, as they poured their heart and soul into crafting their dream house.

The process took a little longer than initially planned, as lockdowns and Covid-19 meant timelines had to be adjusted to comply with government regulations while also assuring the safety of contractors working on site.

Originally a farmhouse, the building was demolished to make way for the new home, which features five bedrooms, a bar, gym, granny annexe and even an outdoor swimming pool.

The couple won planning approval for the huge building back in January 2020, but it was only in October 2022 that the couple finally moved in to the sprawling mansion.

Choosing to celebrate with a well earned takeaway, gym lovers Mark and Michelle previously admitted it was a treat for them, as they worked to maintain a healthy diet.
