Rykard Jenkins appeared in the 2016 series of Love Island and coupled up with Rachel Fenton. Who can forget him running down the beach after Rachel got dumped and leaving with her?

The reality star became a social media influencer after his days on the hit show, as most of the stars of the show go on to do, and accumulated a large following.

What is Rykard Jenkins doing now?

The Kent-born star, 29, has a whopping 320,000 followers on Instagram and he regularly shares life updates.

The star is a model and influencer and he is also very much into fitness and can often be seen working out or showing off his chiselled figure.

However it appears the 29 year old recently had a change of heart on the career front and shared his new job with fans.

Posting two side-by-side shots, Rykard posted a photo of himself topless holding weights and another in scrubs with a surgical mask and cap on while holding a needle.

Revealing he had taken on a new career in aesthetics, Rykard penned: “2020 has been nothing but a massive juggling act. My 1st year career in Aesthetics & 10th year in Personal-Training have had so many restrictions earning a living has been pretty much impossible.”

Rykard wrote a lengthy post alongside the snaps an added: “It’s not actually about money it’s about purpose! I do what I do because I love to actually help people feel better about themselves.

“I’ve helped people battle mental/physical health issues, raised their self esteem & taught them how to become healthier & happier people & I don’t actually post none of this on Instagram because I don’t need the clout or recognition. I just do my job.”

Before this snap, Rykard had shared a peek into his life working in aesthetics and posted a snap while carrying out a treatment.

The star was in a relationship with fellow Love Islander Rachel Fenton, who works as nurse, but they split after eighteen months together.

The pair announced their split back in 2017 and Rachel simply stated on Twitter at the time: “Rykard and I are no longer together.

Rykard has since moved on with girlfriend Sian Owen, a DJ and radio presenter.
