However, now your pet has the perfect place to kip why not treat yourself to a weighted blanket while you are there?

Lidl is selling a weighted blanket that has been proven to improve your sleep quality and reduce anxiety for just £39.99.

The same Silentnight branded blanket is available on Amazon ringing in at £69.99 – that's £30 more than the budget supermarket is offering.

In other Lidl news, the supermarket recently showed their support for Handforth Parish Council clerk, Jackie Weaver, saying that she deserves a Lidl Bakery Gold Card.

“Like if you think Jackie Weaver deserves a Lidl Bakery Gold Card,” the supermarket posted to social media.

Jackie Weaver sent the internet into meltdown last week after footage of a local parish council meeting was shared online after it descended into chaos.

Since then, Jackie has appeared on Sky News and Good Morning Britain, hailed as an ‘icon’ and Andrew Lloyd Webber has even penned a song about her.

So it’s no surprise that Lidl also got in on the action with their tweet that received almost 600 likes.
