The seas look calm as the tide gently rolls in… but there’s something not quite right about this night-time beach scene.

You may be left scratching your head, but soon the real image should present itself.

The image is doing the rounds on social media again, after initially being posted on Twitter and then reappearing on Reddit.

Can you guess what this is? And no, it’s not the moon… 

The weird optical illusion has got people seriously confused as to whether they see a beach as at first glance it definitely looks like one. But the answer will leave you baffled

One Reddit user wrote: ‘I can see both and my mind is confused.’

Another person’s mind was elsewhere, asking: ‘Am I the only one that saw two snakes?’

But their guesses couldn’t be further from the truth.

Thankfully a TikToker who goes by the name of @HecticNick cleared things up once and for all, revealing that the image is in fact the bottom of a rusty car. 

Regardless of being told what the weird optical illusion is, people have still been left seriously confused as to whether they see a beach or a car.

At first glance it definitely looks like a beach in the nighttime because of the sand below and the shiny reflection that looks like waves crashing.

But then after a few seconds you can’t help but see a car.

Commenting on the reveal, one person wrote: ‘Holy s**t I could only see the beach and didn’t know what I was supposed to be looking at.’

And another added: ‘There’s even a ship in the distance, what the f**k?’.
