Inside Vernon Kay and Tess Daly’s second wedding as I’m A Celeb star reveals they secretly renewed their vows

Vernon Kay has revealed on I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! that he secretly renewed his vows with wife Tess Daly five years ago after the pair originally wed in 2003.

While it wasn’t known that the pair had celebrated their relationship for a second time, Tess took to Instagram to share a snap from the ceremony after Vernon, 46, took her to the South of France.

In the snap, Tess, 51, can be seen wearing a gorgeous long-sleeve white dress while holding a bouquet of flowers.

The Strictly Come Dancing star stands alongside her dapper beau who sports a grey suit while the pair’s daughters, Phoebe, now 16, and Amber, 11, stand in front of them.

Tess wrote alongside the image: “So sweet listening to Vern recount the story of surprising me with renewing our vows.

"Here’s a picture from that special day @vernonkay @imacelebrity."

Vernon shared the news of the ceremony with his campmates while he competes on I’m A Celebrity.

Vernon recalled: "We have done, we did it in France, about five years ago.

"I booked a weekend in our favourite hotel in the South of France and I spoke to her (Tess’) stylist at the time and I said I needed four dresses."

He added: "She didn’t know anything. I said I needed four dresses and I gave her a card and it said congratulations on your second wedding day and I said we’re going to renew our vows.

"She said, ‘I’ve got nothing to wear’ and I said, ‘You say that…pick one'."

Vernon continued: "We went to reception and her Mum, my parents, the kids and my brother were waiting and she was like ‘oh my god’ – we had such a lovely day.”

His campmate, Jessica Plummer, later gushed over Vernon’s news by saying in the Telegraph: "It’s incredible that Vernon arranged in secret the renewal of his vows it’s like a fairy tale."

Giovanna Fletcher added: "Vernon’s story is absolutely romantic and wonderful and thoughtful. I mean, Tom, if you’re watching…"
