Inside Stacey Solomon’s living room renovation as she prays for ‘Christmas miracle’

Stacey Solomon recently took to Instagram to share an update on her living room renovation with fans.

The Loose Women star, 32, is currently in the process of completely transforming her family home after she and fiancé Joe Swash purchased their dream house earlier this year.

Stacey and Joe, 39, who share children Rose and Rex together, have been busy renovating the entire property, with Stacey frequently sharing insights into the process with her Instagram followers.

Stacey has amassed a huge fanbase on the social media app, thanks to her savvy DIY hacks and relatable family content.

Recently, she took to her Instagram stories to show fans around the downstairs of their family home, dubbed Pickle Cottage, which is currently being entirely revamped.

One of her 4.8million followers has messaged her asking her for a home update, writing: “Can we have an update of your down stairs. How’s it getting on please."

Stacey was more than happy to give her fans a quick tour of the living room and hallway, which she said she was hoping would be completed by "the end of next week".

Kicking off her video tour in the hallway, she explained how new flooring had recently been fitted throughout and now they were just waiting on a few more adjustments.

The huge hallway features white walls and wooden fittings, and leads through to the living room area.

As she took the camera around the hall, she wrote: "“The hallway floor is down! Just waiting for skirting! And the front room looks the same but it’s had plaster, paint and fireplace tiles…”

Stacey then walked through into the living room, as she set out explaining what had been completed so far and what was currently left to be finished.

The living room looked to feature the same laminate flooring as the hallway, and was currently unfurnished as it undergoes a total makeover.

The Tap To Tidy author zoomed into a spot where a fireplace will eventually be fitted, before explaining how new tiles and skirting are to be fitted in the coming days.

An ironing board and basket of clothes could be seen at the side of the room, prompting Stacey to joke that finishing the ironing would require a "Christmas miracle".

The mum of four also wrote: "Just waiting for fireplace to be finished, skirting, then it’s furniture and maybe I’ll even finish my ironing next week.

"And then I'm so excited to decorate for Christmas and start living downstairs. We are slowly but surely getting there hopefully next week we will be in."

Stacey's home renovation update comes after she recently showed off her glamorous new hair transformation online.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she gave fans a glimpse into her hair dying process as she mixed up a bright red L'Oreal DIY hair dye.

She then shared several snaps showcasing her freshly coloured hair, which she styled in loose waves for a date night with fiancé Joe.

Stacey revealed: "Date Night. We had our first night (well late afternoon) out today… I may have had a little moment and decided to dye my hair bright red before we went…"
