Do you have any health concerns?
The only health concerns I have are based around getting older, like everyone else, and I know even more now how important it is to keep as fit and as healthy as possible to keep enjoying your life.
What are your top tips for staying in shape?
For me it’s all about training consistently and keeping a good balance with food. Set yourself small goals and don’t try and rush in and do a full workout on the first day if it’s been a while or your new to the regime. Get yourself used to your new workout routine, ease yourself in slowly and build up your fitness and your confidence to maintain it.
And how do you keep fit?
I am working with Nutri Heroes to create exclusive nutrition plans and fitness workouts on my new YouTube channel.

David and Victoria Beckham 'plan 'super cellar at their £6million Cotswolds home'
The fitness plan is for all ages and all abilities and there are over 50 demonstrations of exercises and recipes you can follow. It works for me because I like to mix up my workouts and keep it different and engaging. So, I’ll run one day and then focus on abs, legs, cardio and weights on other days.
Why have you started taking vitamins?
I actually never used to take vitamins, but my wife Emily told me about the benefits of Vitamin D and how important it is. I now take a supplement daily, Immune 52 Power Boost has all the vitamins we need in it – just one shot every day and I’m done, no hard to swallow tablets and I feel great knowing I’ve easily covered my bases!

Did Covid make you rethink your immune system?
I think COVID has made most people re-think their health, we have one body and we need to protect and look after it as much as we can.
Do you keep an eye on your diet? What treats do you and the kids like?
I have the biggest sweet tooth going. My guilty pleasure is chocolate – I love it and could eat it every day, so I do need to make sure I don’t go overboard.
But I can generally eat what I want, which is usually quite healthy anyway, as long as I train consistently. I tend to not eat before lunchtime, as this personally works for me.
And like me, the kids also love their chocolate, they’ve definitely inherited that from their dad, but we try and keep it as an occasional treat. We ensure the kids do eat healthy, as its really important to us that they learn about how to fuel their bodies with nutritious food.
Did you stick to a diet over Christmas or enjoy some treats?
Over Christmas I am generally more relaxed as it’s a time of lots of food and coming together as a family. I continued to train as usual as it sets me up for the day, but I didn’t really watch what I ate because I love food. But now it’s the start of a new year, I’m watching what I eat again and right back into my regime.
Do you like to reset in January or have any new year resolutions?
I think January is a good time to reset, evaluate and set your goals for the year. My new year’s resolution is to try and be a little bit stricter with my food choices throughout the week and then enjoy my weekends eating everything.
