‘I’m an exorcist – you should never play spooky game on Halloween’

An exorcist warned not to 'dabble' with the 'unknown' this Halloween – or you could risk being haunted.

Ian Lawman is an expert in all things paranormal having become one of the leading and most recognised exorcists in the UK. After presenting and starring in the likes of TV shows ‘Help My House Is Haunted!’ and 'Living With The Dead', the Scunthorpe-born exorcist is watching the backs of the public this spooky season.

The 54-year-old, who is also a psychic, spent years working as a minister where he then shadowed some of the top UK exorcists before becoming a top demon evictor himself. With the power of his faith and special set of anti-possession skills, Ian is clued up on how the spirit world shifts on Halloween, or All Hallows' Eve.

Ian believes that a 'veil' – a sort of barrier between realms – is lifted between the land of the living and the world of the dead that can result in some seriously scary goings on. So, we've had a chat with the top dog exorcist to help prevent any of our readers from becoming at one with demons this Halloween.

"As always if a person dabbling with the unknown does not know what they are doing, then it's best left alone," Ian warned in an exclusive interview with Daily Star.

"However, on All Hallows Eve when the Veil is lifted, it is then that our vulnerabilities are exposed to be violated by the unknown. I believe that people who dabble on Halloween do not always have an understanding of the true meaning of this occasion.

"Spirits are more active at this time so try not to get involved in Ouija boards as this is basically inviting spirits and unwanted entities into our ether, therefore potentially increasing spiritual activity.

"Symptoms of being haunted can include objects moving, seeing shadows or spirits, having cold spots within your home, or hearing voices or strange noises."

The professional exorcist recently teamed up with wine brand 19 Crimes after they decided to burry 100 bottles of their red tipple in a Victorian London cemetery. Ahead of Halloween, they lowered the wine six foot under and lay them to 'rest' in a coffin which makes for the booze to be the 'world's first coffin aged wine'.

After being exhumed and sent to various pubs across the UK for punters to taste over the Halloween weekend, Ian believes that you may be risking dabbling with the unknown if you drink the wine.

"19 Crimes have buried the wine six feet underground within a coffin in a very haunted cemetery," Ian explained. "This will no doubt absorb energy from the surrounding area an area surrounded by bodies. They’ve now exhumed the wine, which is like raising the dead!

"The bottles will have the energy of time that has long ago passed. 19 Crimes could be responsible for more hauntings! However, if you are one of the unlucky few visiting one of the pubs listed this weekend and dare to take a sip of the haunted 19 Crimes wine then you too could experience some form of Paranormal activity."
