I'm an Amazon Shopping Editor, and These Are 5 Deals I'm Adding to My Cart This Weekend

09/11/2021

Everyone has their weekend rituals. Some people rise and shine and go for a run or take a beat to meditate, while others sleep in until it's time to brunch. Then there's me, who, after completing my morning skincare routine, dives straight into browsing weekend deals. Such is the life of a shopping editor — I'm never not actively shopping, virtually window browsing, or thinking of what I'm buying next.

Amazon is obviously a hot spot for deals, but the good stuff isn't always easy to find. You have to know where to look, and while I can't give away all my shopping secrets, I can let you in on some of the best stuff that's marked down right now. Here are five Amazon deals I'm adding to my shopping cart this weekend:

  • Essie Nail Polish, Limited Edition Fall Collection, Cargo Cameo, $7 (Originally $9)
  • Tocess Large Matte Hair Clips, $8 (Originally $17)
  • Lemedy Sports Bra Top, $19–$24 (Originally $26)
  • Heathyoga Bootcut Yoga Pants with Pockets, $20–$26 (Originally $36)
  • Anrabess Turtleneck Batwing Sleeve Sweater, $25-$36 (Originally $43)

Anrabess Batwing Sleeve Sweater

This is one of the deals I'm most excited about because I've literally been eyeing this sweater since last year. There's a lot to love about it, like the fact that the top comes in 28 seriously perfect-for-fall colors, looks super stylish and cozy, and has the backing of over 11,600 people. Shoppers say the sweater is "comfier than cashmere," looks "flowy" versus oversized, and is a "great length for leggings." I'm having trouble picking a color, but I think I'm going with the caramel.

Tocess Large Matte Hair Clips

If you're on TikTok, these might look familiar — the Tocess hair clips are one of the (many) Amazon products to go viral on the platform. I purchased a pack last year when my hair was super long and fell in love with them. Loving a hair clip so much might sound silly, but there are so many crappy ones out there; these aren't just good-looking, but actually stay in place and hold every strand. Shoppers are such fans of the clips, the original pack has racked up 10,400 five-star ratings.

I've cut my hair since, but they still function just as well on a shorter length, and I'm buying more because my boyfriend keeps stealing them. I love this set of colors, and $8 is such a steal for a pack of four.

Essie Nail Polish, Cargo Cameo

This nail color is from Essie's 2020 fall collection, so I'm a little late to the party, but that's okay. I have high hopes for ″Cargo Cameo,″ which is a shimmery, swirly mixture of caramel and copper hues. I feel like a good brown nail polish is hard to find, which is why I like this particular color that's not super brown, but also not not brown. (I won't be adding 'Essie Copywriter' to my resume any time soon.) And yes, it's only two bucks off, but nail polish is expensive, so I'll take it.

Heathyoga Bootcut Yoga Pants

I haven't owned a pair of yoga pants — or "flared leggings," as Gen Z likes to call them — since I was a tween, but here we are. I've been seeing them everywhere, from Aerie's crossover waist rendition to Old Navy adding a pair to its Powerchill line. This Heathyoga pair is a best-seller thanks to thousands of positive ratings, and you can get them for as low as $20, depending on your color and size preference. Here's a tidbit from my favorite customer review that convinced me to get them:

"I could literally live in these pants. Which is good, because it's the apocalypse and I've got nowhere else to go. The material is soft, the pockets [are] perfectly placed, and it's got just the right amount of stretch to accommodate my stress baking."

Lemedy Sports Bra Top

I've discovered that I really love longline bras. I think they're incredibly comfortable, mostly because they don't dig into my skin like a majority of bras and bralettes I own. I'm ordering a few camisole bra tops from different brands to test out, and this flattering Lemedy option is on my list. I like that it's designed as a sports bra so it's moisture-wicking and has the feel of activewear, but also just looks like something that can be worn out on its own. Tons of customers say it's extremely similar to Lululemon's Align Tank Top, too, so I'm sold.
