‘I was invited to the Playboy mansion – parties were wild and booze was free’

A woman who used to spray tan the Bunnies of the Playboy Mansion has revealed what the famous parties were really like.

Marcela Iglesias, in her 40s, is an Argentinian American entrepreneur and self-proclaimed "Queen of Hollywood”.

But before she became a “millionaire Barbie” she was running her own mobile spray tanning company.

She was one of the first people in Los Angeles to be offering such a service which is how she ended up standing outside the steel gates of the Mansion.

“One of my friends was a model and he had a model agency and he said, ‘Marcella, the playmates need some spray tanning, come and do their spray tans and when you can stay for the party that they're hosting,’” she told the Daily Star.

“It was great, I never thought that I was going to be able to go inside the Playboy Mansion, because I wasn't associated with any of the models.

“It was a really, really cool atmosphere and everybody was dancing.

“I had the opportunity to meet Hugh Hefner I actually took a picture with Hugh and the girls. They were The Girls Next Door at that time, Holly, Bridget and Indra, and everybody was really nice.”

Marcela said she is incredibly thankful she was able to take a photo with them, as a year later, Hugh died.

While this was the only Playboy party she went to, Marcela said she will remember it forever.

“The theme was ‘nightmare dream party’ so everybody was in costume. I didn't go inside the house to see what they were doing in the bedrooms because the party was outside where the grotto area is," she said.

“The whole party was outside and there was a huge tent in the garden. There was a DJ and the food was amazing, they had the best catering.

They had food and alcohol and drinks, whatever you wanted. It was all free – it was insane.”

She added: “It was actually a really nice experience for me. Because that's never going to happen again.”

Marcela has always been a hard worker as she previously worked three jobs so she could provide for her family.

She knew she was destined for something bigger and began to work towards being the self-made woman she is today.

Marcela is now the founder and CEO of the talent management and lifestyle brand The Plastics of Hollywood, while simultaneously pursuing her real estate investment interests.
