‘I fear younger girlfriend will chuck me – she throws Viagra at me in disgust’

I’m terrified that I’m going to be traded in for a younger model.

My girlfriend is 20 years my junior. She loves to “joke” that I’m “on my last legs” and “losing it”.

I love her and do everything to keep her sweet, but I live in fear of her finding someone younger and more virile.

Any time I fail to perform in the bedroom, she throws Viagra at me in disgust. I have to grovel to make up to her.With friends she calls me “the old codger with the useless todger”.

I laugh along but can’t pretend that her barbs don’t hurt.

She talks about a new boss who is funny and fit. What if she’s already cheated? The one thing I have going for me is a decent, paid-off house. But what if that isn’t enough? I’m driving myself crazy worrying about pleasing her and protecting the future.

If she has a problem with your age and/or your relationship, she needs to spit it out.

Insist on a chat. Describe how much her comments hurt.

Is she interested in continuing this relationship? Would she rather be elsewhere? She can’t simply stick around just because you offer a cosy home.

Make it clear that you require a fresh start – with or without her.
