Glenn Close is keeping her hands to herself at the 2021 Oscars.

The 74-year-old actress hit the red carpet on Sunday night in a dazzling, heavily embellished long-sleeved blue Armani Privé tunic over a pair of silk slacks.

She accessorized with a pair of elegant silk gloves, which were perhaps a nod to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

E! News host Brad Goreski added that designer Giorgio Armani created the gloves for Close as an homage to his own mother, who often wore the accessories as well.

Ahead of the red carpet, Close posted a video of an assistant rubbing CBD lotion on her feet in order to ensure that her black pumps wouldn’t cause soreness during the awards show.

Close received her eighth Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Hillbilly Elegy.”

The actress has has never taken home an Oscar statue, but should she win tonight, she’s already got big plans: Close told Giuliana Rancic that she would tote the trophy to the public library or local coffee shop to show average people what it looks like in real life.
