Get Kate Middleton’s go-to Clarins gloss for just £16 in Debenhams’ pre-Black Friday sale11/06/2023
Back in 2019, Kate Middleton sent fans into a frenzy when she was spotted holding a Clarins lip gloss whilst attending a Wimbledon game.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted her brandishing the light pink tube on day two of the tennis tournament, and it didn’t take long for beauty sleuths to identify it as the Clarins Lip Perfector, £21 here, in what appeared to be the shadeRose Shimmer.
Since then, the lip gloss has become one of the most coveted lip products around and regularly sells out online, and now you can get your hands on it with 20% off in Debenhams’ pre-Black Friday sale.
If you were hoping to nab the Princess of Wales’ exact shade of choice you’re out of luck, with it already being sold out on the Debenhams website. However there’s a very similar colour still available that will give you an almost identical look, and it’s included in the sale.
The Clarins Lip Perfector, £16.80 here (was £21), in the shade Soft Pink Glow has the same light pink hue to it as Kate’s Rose Shimmer, with a similar light glimmer to it that catches the light without looking too glittery.
Apart from coming highly recommended by Princess Kate herself, the Clarins Lip Perfector has racked up plenty of favourable reviews over the years from those who want a subtle tinge of colour and a non-sticky shine on their lips.
One reviewer wrote: “My go-to lip gloss. This is luxury but not the most expensive gloss it really is gorgeous and the correct consistency too. It lasts a long time also.”
Whilst another said: “Nice colour and moisturises lips at the same time without being heavy and sticky. Perfect for a natural look.”
A third gushed: “So good to have an excellent reviver for my tired and chapped lips with a lovely colour. Just wish it would stay on a little longer.”
Rather than your standard gloss, the Clarins Lip Perfector, £16.80 here (was £21), is a melting gel balm with a subtle wash of colour that’s strong enough to wear on its own whilst still being subtle enough to wear over your favourite lipstick.
The 3D shimmer gives your lips a reflective sheen, whilst the nourishing ingredients help repair, protect and hydrate your lips to leave them soft and smooth. Oh, and it has a delicious vanilla flavour that’ll make your lips irresistible, too.
If Debenhams’ 20% off isn’t enough to entice you to buy, we’ve found some similar version that come with a more affordable price tag that might be just what you’re looking for.
The Beauty Pie Wondergloss Collagen Lip Oil + in Spicy Pink, £12 here, is also currently on sale and has been reduced from its usual price of £28 to just £12, offering a similar subtle pink hue and non-sticky, nourishing shine for your lips.
If you prefer more of a creamy, balm-like consistency, the Lanolips Tinted SPF30 Balm – Perfect Nude, £7.19 here (was £8.99), doesn’t have the same glimmer or shiny finish as Kate’s go-to Clarins one, however it has a subtle rosy pink tone to it and nourishes and repairs your lips, whilst its SPF30 coverage helps protect them against environmental elements.
A princess-worthy pout without the royal price tag? We’ll be snapping them up whilst we can.
