The most glamorous night of the year is here! The Oscars serve up the best red carpet fashion in the world and Wonderwall.com is rounding up the best and worst dressed stars at the 2022 ceremony. First up? Why, Naomi Scott?! The beauty wore this disappointing custom Fendi creation on Hollywood’s biggest night. The dark purple design featured a cape detail over top an otherwise super simple and straight column-style silhouette.

A+! Lily James arrived in this show-stopping Atelier Versace number, a pale pink, floral embellished confection that included a thigh-high slit and a glamorous tulle skirt that trailed behind her. This one deserves another look…

Lily James’s Versace gown included smatterings of lace over top the frothy tulle skirt and was held up by delicate, thin straps that we’ll check out next…

The thin straps of Lily James’s Versace frock featured the fashion house’s iconic Medusa logo in silver, which corresponded perfectly with the diamond necklace she paired with her beautiful look.

Nicky Hilton Rothschild took maternity style to the next level in this darling Jenny Packham pick. The beauty, who is currently pregnant with her third child, cradled her bump in this sparkly pale pink floor-length gown with feather-trimmed sleeves. We’ve got to see this one from another angle!

_

What a stylish bump! Nicky Hilton Rothschild’s Jenny Packham dress showed off her baby bump perfectly, and the feather detailing added an ideal amount of extra glamour.

Fashionista Tracee Ellis Ross rocked a frock fresh off the runway… the Carolina Herrera runway to be exact! And though we loved the vibrant red hue — and the way she added matching red pumps — we weren’t wild about the funky neckline.

_

Lovely in lilac! Demi Singleton wowed in this custom Miu Miu creation, which featured such intricate and beautiful beading that we have to take a closer look…

_

Demi Singleton’s strapless Miu Miu gown included beautiful crystal embellishments that formed delicate floral designs. She added a little more metallic flair with her silver nail polish, drop earrings and some sparkly rings.

It was Michael Kors Collection for Vanessa Hudgens, who rocked this sleek look on the red carpet. Though the shimmery black gown with a halter-style neckline and cutouts at the waist was certainly pretty, it felt like an underwhelming pick for such a big night.

_

Saniyya Sidney is ready for spring! The star brought the flowers to the red carpet in her Armani Privé design — a mint green strapless gown with an adorable overlay of pink and blue flowers over top.

_

Sofia Carson loves a ballgown silhouette, so it’s no surprise she turned up at the Oscars in this over-the-top Giambattista Valli design. One caveat? It was actually a top and a dress! Take a closer look…

_

Yep, Sofia Carson’s Giambattista Valli selection was actually a black draped tulle one-shoulder top paired with a full black tulle skirt. And though we loved the fun and full tulle-filled skirt, we would have preferred the coordinates in a more youthful, vibrant shade.

_

Twinning? Maddie Ziegler also picked a ballgown from Giambattista Valli for the big night, very similar to Sofia Carson’s! The star’s black silk tafetta design featured a strapless neckline and a peplum detail at the waist over top a full, dramatic skirt. And much like our thoughts on Sofia’s look, we just wish this silhouette was in a more exciting shade.

Jamie Lee Curtis arrived ready for a red carpet battle in this navy blue Stella McCartney gown. Her high-necked, long-sleeved shimmering frock had a chainmail-like effect up close…

_

Jamie Lee Curtis’s Stella McCartney gown featured subtle embellishments that gave it an armor-like feel. She softened it with those Cathy Waterman recycled platinum and ethically sourced diamond marquise star earrings, but there was another odd detail along her dress sleeves…

_

The edges of the sleeves of Jamie Lee Curtis’s Stella McCartney frock ended in a sheer mesh, but that wasn’t the only notable element. She rocked a blue ribbon on her finger that read “#withtherefugees” to support the people fleeing Ukraine.

_

More pink! Niecy Nash embraced the pink trend on the red carpet, opting for this ruffled hot pink confection. The frock featured a sky-high slit up the front that showed off her white sandals, but it was her clutch that really stole the show…

_

Wifey for lifey! That’s what Niecy Nash’s clutch read on Oscar night. The star wed singer Jessica Betts back in August 2020.

_

Another disappointing pick? Laverne Cox’s black August Getty Atelier gown included a column-style silhouette and a bizarre cape detail that seemed to be attached from the waist of the gown. Despite not loving her gown, we did appreciate the jewels she added tot the mix…

_

Laverne Cox added these stunning drop earrings by Dena Kemp to add a little sparkle to her Oscar look.

_

Sebastián Yatra rocked an unexpected shade on Oscar night, opting for this chic custom Moschino look in an eye-catching pale pink. The custom suit included satin lapels, a matching vest shirt and cummerbund, and there was a dash of black infused via a satin bow tie and those pink and black leather oxford loafers.

_

Looking flawless, Reba McEntire! The country icon rocked this sequined, long-sleeved emerald green gown for the fancy occasion and looked like a million bucks.
