02/15/2020

EasyJet has cancelled more than 60 flights to and from Gatwick tomorrow because of Storm Dennis.

Strong winds of up to 70mph and heavy rain are set to cause chaos, with transport links set to be affected.

It is estimated that 10,000 people will be hit by tomorrow's cancellations, on top of around 40,000 whose flights will not depart today.

The airline said: "Storm Dennis is set to hit the UK from Saturday 15 February into Sunday 16 February, it is expected to bring high winds and heavy rain to some areas. We are working closely with the Met office and aim to minimise disruption to flights as much as possible. We recommend that you leave plenty of time to arrive for your flights as journeys to the airport by road or other transport could be disrupted.

"If your flight is cancelled, we will contact you in advance. We advise customers on a cancelled flights not to travel to the airport but to transfer their flights free of charge or take a refund by logging onto  Manage Bookings on easyJet.com or our Flight Tracker: easyjet.com/XXXX( Your flight number).

"If an overnight accommodation is required, affected passengers can book this through our Flight Tracker page easyjet.com/XXXX (Your flight number).

"For the most up to date information regarding your flight please check out flight tracker on our mobile app or website at www.easyjet.com/(yourflightnumber)."
