Doctor has simple solution to stop glasses fogging up from wearing a mask

If you wear glasses then you’ll know how annoying it is when your face mask makes them fog up.

So, one doctor has come up with a solution that prevents glasses needing to be wiped every few minutes.

Dr. Daniel M. Heiferman, who wears spectacles while operating, shared a trick on Twitter that he says stops them from fogging up and obstructing his view.

As someone who has to constantly have a mask on his face, Dr. Heiferman decided to stick the mask to his face – using a plaster.

The doctor said all you need is a band-aid to hold the mask in place and prevent your breath from riding upwards onto your glasses.

It’s also a useful trick if your mask keeps moving from its position, whether it falls off your nose or keeps riding towards your eyes.

Dr. Heiferman wrote on the post: ‘If you’re having a hard time with glasses fogging or keeping your mask up over your nose, a simple band-aid does wonders. Learned it in the OR. Feel free to share, it may save lives!’

Others wondered why they hadn’t thought of the simple trick before.

Even Chrissy Teigan got involved, saying: ‘Damn this is why you a doctor and I am, I don’t know’.

Many hailed the move as ‘genius,’ saying: ‘Why didn’t I think of this? I’ve been stumbling around unable to see. The rumors that I’m drunk aren’t true.’

Another person commented: ‘Thanks. With a mask, I usually have two options – not seeing anything because my glasses are fogging or to remove them and again not seeing anything’.

Another said: ‘Thanks. Mine has been steaming up terribly while walking my dog. I have to take them off and then I can’t see when he poops.’

Thank you indeed, Dr. Heiferman.
