Cynthia Bailey of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is getting ready for her wedding to Mike Hill. As the wedding approaches, she opened up recently about shedding weight that she gained during quarantine.

Cynthia Bailey is living bicoastal now

Bailey now lives in both Atlanta and Los Angeles. Earlier this year, there were rumors that she may be switching shows in the franchise and move to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, or at least appear on both shows at the same time in some capacity. Bailey has been partly living in LA, as it is where Hill resides. Her daughter, Noelle Robinson, also lives in LA.

Right now, it looks like Bailey won’t set appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just yet. As far as it is known now, she will still star a main cast member on The Real Housewives of Atlanta in its new season.

Here’s what she said about losing weight

In an interview with Hollywood Life, Bailey spoke about gaining weight during quarantine…and then subsequently losing it. In preparation for her upcoming nuptials, she lost about 20 pounds that she gained. She said when she came back to her Georgia home after being in L.A., it was easier to get everything together.

“When I returned back to Lake Bailey by myself, I was able to kind of manage my food a little bit better — because I didn’t have my family with me and honestly some days I didn’t even eat as much as before,’” she said. “It just wasn’t an issue when I came home, because I was just eating for myself, so I was able to control what was in the refrigerator,” she said, adding, “I was able to control my snacking and all of that kind of stuff.”

For Bailey, she has a schedule that makes it easier to plan out for healthy meals. The television personality says that she started to see the results. “I started out just not eating anything until after 4 (p.m.), which was easy enough,” she explained. I’m pretty busy during the pandemic now with work stuff, so that was pretty easy for me. Then, I would just eat maybe two healthy meals later that evening and that was it — and I just started slimming down. It was pretty awesome! I didn’t realize how good I actually looked until I put on a two-piece. I was like, ‘Wait a minute! I actually look OK!’”

As for her typical daily meal, she likes to mix things up with her normal eats. “I’ll try to do salads, but not like a boring salad, like a loaded salad; a loaded baked potato kind of salad with everything in it,” she said. “After that, I might kick in again around 8:30/9 and try to eat something light. Despite keeping a close eye on what she eats, “I’m not really depriving myself too much.

The new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is currently filming with coronavirus (COVID-19) precautions in place.
