Concerns Raised Over Sarah Ferguson's Health After the Duchess Looks 'Tired and Stressed' During Recent Appearance

Sarah, Duchess of York‘s upbeat nature and bubbly personality displayed over the years has royal fans so used to seeing her look happy all the time. So when she doesn’t, concerns are raised.

Here’s how Prince Andrew’s ex-wife looked in a recent video that had some questioning her health and state during these troubling times.

Sarah Ferguson thanks fans for birthday wishes in video

On Oct. 15, Fergie posted a video to social media from her home thanking fans for the 61st birthday wishes she had received.

“I just wanted to say a very quick thank you so much for all my wonderful birthday messages,” the duchess said.

The comments on the clip were overwhelming positive but some thought Sarah’s appearance seemed a little off compared to how we usually see her.

Concerns expressed over her appearance

According to The Express, her appearance prompted some concern from observers who noted that Sarah looked a bit “tired and stressed.” The reason the clip sparked any kind of concern is likely because the duchess is typically much more energetic and cheery on camera.

Royal author Phil Dampier stated that the video showed him some worrying signs.

“I know she has been finding the last few months very difficult,” he said. “She has spent several months in lockdown at Royal Lodge with Prince Andrew, and obviously he is under great strain from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. It must have placed them both under a lot of pressure with very little in the way of letting off steam.”

Royal fans know that Sarah has been passing some of her quarantine time by continuing her YouTube series called Story Time With Fergie and Friends in which she dresses up and enthusiastically reads a children’s book. Sarah first launched the initiative to bring a little joy to children during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

There’s been a ton of ups and downs for the duchess over the past year

This year has been stressful for just about everyone, including Fergie. She was able to watch her eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in a very intimate setting after the plans of a larger scale ceremony were nixed because of the pandemic. And just last month, she shared how happy she is by the news that her youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, is expecting her first child with hubby Jack Brooksbank.

“I am so excited by the news that Eugenie and Jack are expecting their first child,” the duchess wrote via Instagram. “Thrilled for them both and in my 60th year cannot wait to be a grandmother. Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy.”

But Sarah also had to deal with the fallout and mess her ex-husband created during the latter part of 2019 with his “car crash” interview on BBC Newsnight and allegations that she convinced him to speak out.

A spokesperson for the Duchess of York, however, denied that she had anything to do with the decision stating that at the time she “was out of the country in Hong Kong, China, Saudi Arabia, and Venice and was not involved in this program which took place and was finalized whilst she was overseas.”
