Claire Danes Met Beyoncé and Things Got Really Awkward

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Homeland star recalled meeting our lord and savior Queen Bey backstage “at a fashion award thing” (ah, to be rich and famous). And, like the best of us on any given day, Yale alum Danes “got really stupid.”

“Like my brain just stopped working,” the Emmy winner told Fallon. “I was talking, I was saying words and she said words back. And she said that she was a fan, I remember that distinctly. She said, 'My husband and I really love your show, we watch it all the time.' I was like, 'That's amazing.'" Mandy Patinkin hive appears to have some high-profile members.

Anyway, the A-list small talk was going well enough, until Bey mentioned she’d recently finished her tour. “I said, 'Oh, wow, you must be exhausted. Are you gonna take a little break, or something? And she said, 'Yeah, yeah. We're gonna go on vacation.'"

And now, for the hook: "I was like, 'Really? Where are you gonna go?’ And she said, 'Yeah, no, we're thinking about it.' And I was like, 'Oh, my God. You cannot ask Beyoncé where she's going on vacation!' Like, that's not appropriate. That's not something you do!" I mean, not without an ironclad NDA at least …

Suffice to say, Danes was not invited on said vacation.
