Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend have shared the first adorable image of the newest addition to their family, a baby girl named Esti Maxine Stephens.

Taking to Instagram to reveal the adorable tot to the world, Chrissy shared an image of daughter Luna, six, and son Miles, four, as they cuddled up to their baby sibling just days after her arrival into the world.

Alongside the photo, Chrissy wrote: "She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier. "

"Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss. Thank you for all the love and well wishes – we feel it all! X"

The news comes after John Legend reportedly announced the birth of their newest baby while on stage at his latest, private concert, according to People.

John reportedly told concert-goers they had "the little baby this morning" on what he called a "blessed day".

The singer added that while he "didn't get a lot of sleep" he "feels energised" after spending "a lot of time" at the hospital.

Alongside the adorable image of the baby, Thursday’s post also revealed the youngster’s name for the very first time, with the couple opting for a unique name for their little one.

Naming their daughter Esti, many fans at home have been left curious about the name’s meaning, a mystery which has now been solved thanks to Nameberry.

According to the baby naming resource, Esti is a girl’s name meaning “Star” and is primarily of Hebrew origin, with it most commonly used as a shorted form for Esther or Estelle.

Although neither John nor Chrissy are Jewish, Chrissy’s grandmother is, which means the name could also have a nod to her heritage, as well as simply being a lovely choice.

The little one’s middle name, Maxine, which means “greatest” also has a longstanding history, with it’s origin hailing from classical Latin.

Having grown out of favour in modern times, the unique name last made the Top 100 US names in 1930, meaning the moniker could help little Esti Maxine stand out from the crowd.

The birth of their baby girl comes after the couple experienced a heartbreaking pregnancy loss in October 2020 as they lost baby Jack 20 weeks into pregnancy.

John previously opened up about their heartache after losing their baby in an interview with The Guardian.

He said: "We were tested. It was a tragedy. But I think it strengthened our resolve and our resilience because we were there for each other.

"We came out even more sure of who we were as a couple and as a family."
