Celebs Demand Impeachment for Trump After Robert Mueller Breaks Silence

“Mueller is playing a game of Taboo with Congress. His word is ‘impeach’.”

Robert Mueller didn’t use the word "impeach" — but everyone else did it for him.

On Wednesday the man in charge of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections finally broke his silence on his infamous report, and celebs took to Twitter to almost unanimously interpret his meaning.

Despite President Trump‘s insistence the report exonerated him and cleared him of collusion, the report’s author insisted: "If we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so."

The 448-page redacted report, released last month, did not claim outright that Trump obstructed justice — but did outline almost a dozen occasions in which justice was potentially obstructed.

However, no matter what crimes Trump did or did not commit, Mueller confirmed he would not have made that determination either way because of a long-standing Justice Department policy barring the prosecution of a sitting president for a federal crime.

"Charging the president with a crime was, therefore, not an option we could consider," he added.

It was Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who summarized Twitter’s thoughts best of all: "Mueller is playing a game of Taboo with Congress. His word is ‘impeach’."

Many famous faces agreed with her including John Cusack: "Mueller said congress is venue to deal with his report – ‘a president can not be charged with a crime – charging the president with a crime was not an option – that requires a process other then criminal justice system -,’ congress do your job. Roadmap to impeachment."

Eliza Dushku tweeted: "Clearly NOT full ‘exoneration’ by any means, crazypants @realDonaldTrump & cucu-crew. #Congress: STEP UP TIME #ImpeachTrump #EnoughIsEnough #NOHOAXHERE folks.. ‘Deserves the attn of every #American’"

Yvette Nicole Brown opined: "#RobertMueller basically punted back to Congress. He want them to USE the oversight rights THEY alone have to hold trump accountable for his crimes."

Wilson Cruz simply interpreted: "#mueller to CONGRESS: DO YOUR JOB! #impeachmentNow."

Rob Reiner added: "The President of the United States obstructed Justice. Now it’s up to Congress to do its job. #ImpeachTrump"

Trump’s would-be successors Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker and Pete Buttigieg were all of the exact same opinion: Congress must impeach.

There was however one person who didn’t agree with the interpretation — Donald Trump himself.

"Nothing changes from the Mueller Report," he tweeted. "There was insufficient evidence and therefore, in our Country, a person is innocent. The case is closed! Thank you."
