Boots extends last delivery dates to help Christmas shoppers under Tier 4 restrictions12/21/2020
SHOPPERS will have more time to get Christmas gifts from Boots.
The high street store is extending its last dates for online orders by one day after Tier 4 lockdown restrictions plunged many people's shopping plans into chaos.
People in Tier 4 areas can't shop in many high street stores, as all but essential retail closes under the new lockdown rules.
Boots is extending its last dates for deliveries to arrive before Christmas, and its stores remain open in Tier 4 areas because it's an essential retailer.
Shoppers can order online up until 4pm on Tuesday December 22 – a day later than before – and still get it delivered to their home before Christmas.
It will cost £4.95 for next-day delivery, as the deadline for standard delivery has already gone.
The deadline for placing an order online and collecting it in store with click and collect is 6pm on Tuesday December 22, a day extra too.

You'll need to have proof of when you placed your order, such as an email confirmation.
The retailer will also expect you to return the item. According to Resolver, the store you purchased the product from will usually be responsible for covering return costs, but this does depend on its terms and conditions, so read carefully.
If you want to keep the gift, you may be able to claim back some cash from the delivery costs. Contact the retailer to see what it can offer you.
If you paid extra for specific-day delivery, and it arrived after this date, the retailer should off you money back on the delivery cost.
Or at the very least, you'll get the difference in price between its standard delivery and premium delivery.
Click and collect costs £1.50 or is free on orders over £20.
