Amazon's viral Seasum leggings review – do they really have butt-sculpting super powers?
02/27/2021EVERYONE on the internet is filming their partner's reactions to them wearing a certain pair of leggings from Amazon. They're meant to make your bum look good enough to cause a stir.
We decided that those best-selling, honeycomb-textured Seasum leggings from Amazon need to be tested, to see whether the thousands of butt-sculpting and lifting try-on videos out there are true. So, before you jump on the band-wagon, here's our review.

After seeing countless videos all over TikTok and Instagram, we were really intrigued to try out Amazon's Seasum leggings to see whether we would get Jordyn Woods and Lizzo-level results out of them.
Out of the 27 (!) different styles, we picked pink and black tie dye as a quirky design that we haven't seen before – the colour was just as vibrant in real life, and the waffle-textured fabric was oh-so soft, giving them full marks for quality at a bargain price (the medium tie dye are £18.99).
We were apprehensive whether they'd be too big as we're tall and size 10-12 so opted for a large, but they came on easily and comfortably, yet unfortunately, we weren't as blown away by our butt in them as so many TikTokers' husbands make out to be.
They're really well-fitting, flexible leggings and our butt felt shaped thanks to the cinching at the back, just not as dramatically as we had expected from the swarm of social media fanatics. If we had gone for a medium, it likely would have been a different story as reviews say to go for your true size for full sculpting impact.
Something else we have to mention is that they're not particularly warm as the fabric is thinner than some leggings on the market. The quality honey-comb fabric ensures that they aren't see-through at all though, and they can't be faulted for comfort.
Also, FYI, these probably aren't leggings you'll want to wear to the gym as they do make you feel a little bit like you're naked. You'll probably land some great #belfies all the same.

Are Amazon's Seasum leggings good for a workout?

It's no secret that Amazon's Seasum leggings have gained traction solely for making your bum look good, but everyone's ignoring the actual purpose for stretch, moisture-wicking leggings: excercising.
We wore these for our yoga practice, and we can officially say that they're perfect for stretching and flexing in, staying securely in place and allowing loads of flexibility.
From the breathable stretch, to the high-waist, you feel supported throughout your exercise routine – we expect that they would work well for a HIIT workout too as they're cut from quick-drying, strong compression fabric.
How do Amazon's Seasum leggings lift your butt?
The back of Amazon's Seasum leggings is cut in a V-cut hip line design which promises to give you three-dimensional shape, accentuating your butt cheeks.
There is also ruching around the top, with the high-waist helping to sculpt your silhouette, pulling in your waist for a smooth, close-fitting shape.
We're not sure if the honey-comb texture adds a little oomph too, but it sure feels nice to wear.

Seasum is one of the most-searched brands for the famous scrunch-butt leggings. However, there are other popular brands with styles that offer the same sculpting impact, available on Amazon too.
