All the signs Love Island’s Kaz and Tyler had split as they release statement

12/13/2021

Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank have confirmed they've ended their relationship in a joint statement posted to Instagram.

Rumours had began circulating last week that the couple, who met on Love Island earlier in 2021, had parted ways after just three months together.

Reports had claimed that Kaz, 26, and Tyler, also 26, had decided to end things after failing to see a future together.

A source recently told MailOnline: "Kaz and Tyler have decided to go their separate ways after giving everything to make their relationship work. The romance ended on good terms and they’re still friends, who will support each other in the industry."

The Love Island finalists then took to Instagram on 13 December to release a joint statement confirming they had separated, and it looks like there had been many signs hinting towards the split in recent weeks.

Eagle-eyed fans had noticed that Kaz and Tyler had stopped posting videos or photos to social media together, which many saw as an evident sign of trouble in paradise.

The pair's last photo together was posted to Tyler's Instagram page on 29 November, where they could be seen looking loved-up in London.

Kaz, who is an influencer, sparked further rumours of a possible split after she recently attended the MOBO Awards alone.

Tyler was nowhere to be seen as Kaz shared glamorous snaps from the event, where she presented an award alongside Capital Xtra DJ Abrantree.

As reports broke of a rumoured split, fellow Love Island Brett Staniland took to Twitter to issue a message to fans, which many thought was referring to Kaz and Tyler's relationship.

Brett tweeted: " Here's what I'm going to say, and that will be it. If people want you to know something. They will tell you themselves."

Many replied wishing the couple well, with one Twitter user writing: "Pass our love to Kaz and Tyler. Just that."

Kaz and Tyler have now confirmed they are no longer an item in a statement to fans, which read: "We are extremely sad to announce that we have decided to end our romantic relationship.

"We have had a fantastic journey and we will always have a special bond between us.

"We will continue to be very much in one another's lives and support each other in every way."

"We are so grateful that we have shared this Love Island experience with each other, and we will continue to support each others careers.

"Life since the villa has been amazing, but it’s taking time to adjust to a new normal in the public eye. This part of the journey hasn’t been easy for us but we’re learning.

"Thank you to every single person who has supported us, we appreciate you more than you will ever know."

Kaz and Tyler met in the Love Island villa earlier this year, and quickly fell for one another. Tyler, a former estate agent, sweetly asked Kaz to be his girlfriend during the Love Island reunion.

They are first couple from the latest series to split, with Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares and winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon still currently together.
