A British plus-sized fashion blogger has kicked off a viral TikTok trend after she revealed the craziest way she was fat-shamed by a taxi driver.

Danielle Vanier took to the app encouraging others to share their wildest ways they've ever been fat-shamed – but had a story to share of her own.

In the clip, which has now reached more than 27,000 likes, Danielle claims she was sat in the back of a taxi in June, when the driver began to imply that her weight was flattening his tyres.

She explained: "So Em and I were in a taxi the other day…an electric Volkswagen.

"The taxi driver…this is a whole different story, he was slightly mad but anyway, it was a difficult journey…it was quite stressful.

"This was compounded by the fact that every five minutes, the taxi driver would click onto his little screen he had and would check the tyre pressure, huff, look very annoyed and sometimes glance back at me in the rearview mirror.

"Then he'd huff, check the tyre pressure again, look back at me, carry on driving, check the tyre pressure…carry on driving."

Her friend, who was laughing hysterically in the background, then interrupted her, joking: "Is that why I get so many flat tyres you reckon?"

The video has surpassed 360,000 views and many people have since responded with their own wild stories.

Last week, a woman went viral for her response to the clip when she said an all-you-can-eat restaurant had tried to charge her twice because she ate too much food.

In her video, which gained more than 5,000 likes, British TikTok user Poppy explained that she’d been out for a meal at a buffet restaurant where there is a set price per person and people expect to be able to eat their fill.

But it appeared that wasn't the case as when she received the bill, she found out that she had been charged twice because she ate "too much".
