Remi collapses in Salt as his injury worsens in Home and Away

Remi (Adam Rowland) has become increasingly frustrated with waiting for his injured hand to heal, being forced to abstain from playing guitar while it’s bandaged up.

Eventually, his emotions reach breaking point and he wrenches his hand out of the bandage to try and play guitar. However, he can barely move his fingers before crying out in excruciating pain.

Full of remorse, Remi realises he’s pushed his injured hand too far. He takes painkillers, but that isn’t enough to cover up the pain. Struggling with the aftermath of his mistake, Remi takes out his pain on those around him, lashing out in anger at them.

Kirby (Angelina Thomson) sees through him and notices the swelling on his hand has worsened. She tells him he has to see a doctor, but he won’t listen to her. She and Theo become concerned about him – if the injury is getting worse, he has to get it checked out. Kirby begins to wonder how long she will be working at the Diner if Remi’s recovery time has to be extended.

Pretending everything is fine, Remi attends a band meeting with Kirby and Justin (James Stewart) in Salt, but it isn’t long before everything looks hazy. He can just about register that Justin is talking about the two of them potentially giving music lessons to bring some money in, but before long he realises he has to leave.

He gets to his feet and attempts to walk away, but Kirby and Justin can tell he’s in bad shape. To their shock, Remi faints at their feet. He’s completely out of it until suddenly he regains consciousness and realises he’s being carried down the stairs of Salt in a stretcher.

Furious, he says he doesn’t need to see a doctor and walks away from the paramedics, leaving Kirby and Justin confused and worried…
