Home and Away spoilers: Emily Symons teases huge Marilyn and Heather twists in dark storyline

10/19/2022

Home and Away’s Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons) knows full well that there is more going on than meets the eye when it comes to newcomer Heather (Sofia Nolan).

Heather rocked up in Summer Bay several weeks ago, keen to make a fresh start and study law under the tutelage of Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker).

Roo was delighted to have a student as committed as Heather, but Marilyn clocked straight away that something was not quire right with the newcomer, who gave her chills.

Marilyn shared her concerns with Roo and Alf (Ray Meahgher), who both reckoned she was reading too much into it, but Marilyn has stuck to her guns, knowing that Heather is not to be trusted.

‘Marilyn feels that Heather’s manner and demeanour is just off,’ actress Emily Symons told Metro.co.uk. ‘She feels in her bones that there is something wrong about her.’

Marilyn’s theory proved correct earlier this week when scheming Heather, who is tipped to be Maz’s long-lost daughter, broke into her home and placed an empty wine bottle in front her in a bid to play games.

‘It is in line with all of Heather’s other behaviour in conjunction with leaving the photograph on her chest,’ Emily told us. ‘She absolutely knows its Heather.’

Things take a shocking turn later this week, when Marilyn’s son Jett receives a text, which appears to be from his mum, saying that an adopted child cannot compare to biological one.

Marilyn pleads her innocence, but with Heather’s manipulation starting to pay off, a number of her nearest and dearest harbour doubts, which comes as a devastating blow to the Home and Away legend.

[Marilyn] is absolutely horrified that they would think that of her,’ added Emily.

The outcome of this storylines yet to be revealed, but Emily, who also played Louise Appleton in Emmerdale, warned that Marilyn will go on a big journey in the coming weeks.

‘Marilyn is about to go on a journey that she could never have imagined,’ the soap star told us. ‘Reuniting with her long-lost daughter is going to be an emotional roller-coaster.

‘You will have to stay tuned and keep watching!’
