Gardening tips: Four homemade hacks to kill garden weeds

Hot weather and rainfall create the perfect conditions for weeds to thrive which means driveways, patios and beds and borders are currently prime spots for weed growth.

While it may be tempting to use chemical weedkillers, these can have an impact on the surrounding environment.

Chemical herbicides can destroy organisms, pollute soil and groundwater which can contaminate livestock.
