Woman shares recipe for Nutella-stuffed French toast fingers

Looking for some delicious for breakfast tomorrow?

One woman has come up with a genius idea – Nutella-stuffed French toast fingers.

The treat is basically a slice of bread, rolled up with Nutella in the centre and then dipped in egg and fried.

With the Nutella encased in the bread, it melts and becomes amazingly gooey.

British/Sri Lankan cook Roshani, who is now based in Australia, posted a video on TikTok showing how she did it.

Describing it as ‘the best French toast with a twist’, she starts by cutting off the crusts, rolling out a slice of white bread, spreading a layer of Nutella over the top and some finely chopped strawberries.

She then rolls the whole thing up, dips it in the egg mixture of 60ml milk, one large egg, three tablespoons of sugar and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and fries the fingers in butter.

Once it’s golden brown and still warm, she coats it in cinnamon sugar.

You then have the perfect shape to dip in syrup or anything else you fancy.

Of course, you could try it with different fruit or nuts inside.

One commenter said: ‘Goes well with bananas too.’

Another suggested changing the spread to peanut butter if that’s more your thing.

The video has had over 100,000 views and lots of people said they were keen to try it out.
