With This New Häagen-Dazs Flavor You'll Never Have to Choose Between Wine and Dessert Again

Rosé, or ice cream? Rosé, or ice cream? If you’ve ever found yourself in a pickle trying to decide which after dinner-treat you want to indulge in, you’re not alone. But your days of indecision could soon be coming to an end because Häagen-Dazs has invented what just might be the most decadent dessert item of all time: rosé-flavored ice cream.

Part of the brand’s Spirits collection, which stars booze-infused ice creams, their new Rosé & Cream flavor features sweet cream ice cream that has a rosé swirl folded through each pint. The rosé swirl is slightly tart and a little sweet, while the base of the pint is creamy and mellow, so every bite pops with contrasting flavors. Some ice creams seem a little too heavy to enjoy when it’s really hot out, but come summertime this light, bright flavor seems like the perfect rosé treat to cool off with.

Each pint is gluten-free, and each 2/3 cup serving has 310 calories and contains less than .5% alcohol. You get the boozy flavor of rosé without having to worry about waking up with a headache the next morning.

Then again, we’re definitely intrigued at the potential of making something like a rosé float – a scoop or two of Häagen-Dazs Rosé & Cream in a glass of sparkling rosé would make the most elegant ice cream float we’ve ever tasted. It’s even fancy enough for dinner parties.

If you love the idea of pairing booze and ice cream, you’re in luck. The other flavors in the Häagen-Dazs Spirits collection are also to-die-for, including Stout Chocolate Pretzel Crunch, Irish Cream Brownie, and Non-Dairy Amaretto Black Cherry Almond – there’s a flavor for everyone. If you’re not concerned about your alcohol intake, this seems like the perfect opportunity to host an ice cream tasting party, pairing each flavor with a glass of the booze it’s infused with. You’ll be the most popular member of your friend group!
