With food shortages continuing and people being ordered to stay home during the coronavirus outbreak, you have to make do with what you have.

The good news is that if you have some greek yoghurt and self-raising flour, you can use it to make a dough that you can turn into a pizza base, bagels, pretzels and a whole lot more.

It’s perfect for parents who want something easy to make with kids or just those of us who are looking for something other than pesto pasta to make for dinner.

It’s really easy – take one part plain Greek yoghurt (0% fat is best) and one part flour – so if you have one cup of yoghurt, you mix it with one cup of flour and you can scale it up depending on how much you have and how much you need.

Mix the dough in a bowl before kneading it on a lightly floured surface for five minutes until it is smooth and elastic. You can add a little more flour if it is still too sticky.

For pizza, you just need to roll it out and add your toppings, baking it at 200C for around 20 minutes.

Bagels take a little longer – you need to roll them out and shape them, brush with an egg wash and a little salt and add toppings like poppy sedds if you wish, before baking them at 190C for 20 minutes and then turning the oven up to 230 for five minutes to make them crisp.

The recipe has been popular on Instagram for a while as the low-fat Greek yoghurt means it is lower in fat and calories than a standard dough.

But now with everyone in lockdown, it’s perfect for anyone to try.

People are being inventive with the recipe and using it to make everything from cinnamon rolls to apple pie.

I feel like the days are just getting away from me too quickly this week.. I’m constantly out running errands to pick things up incase everywhere closes… there’s a lot going on in the world and it’s scary to watch.. while I hate all the fear & panic it is completely normal to have concerns.. I have a planned trip to Jamaica next month with my IG bestie Kristy @erasing.diet.mentality that is up in the air right now and we just need to take it day by day.. I will say I’m most terrified what this is doing and will continue to do to the economy… stay safe, wash your hands and distance yourself when you can ❤️ one thing that keeps me calm is baking… its very relaxing to me so today I baked up one of my #twoingredientdough apple pies ? the dough is a great alternative to keeping your favorite pies low point.. just 4SP per serving on both blue & purple, 5SP on green.. recipe is on my blog www.drizzlemeskinny.com direct link in my bio #ww #myww #wwcanada #apple #applepie #baking #foodie
