Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s share food recalls for chicken, sausages and more – full list

Food recalls warn customers when there is a potential safety risk with a product. Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s all have live warnings right now.

Tesco

Tesco 50 percent Less Fat Salad Cream 450ml

The product has been recalled as it contains milk not listed on the packaging.

All batch codes with the best before date of June 2022 are affected.

A Tesco statement said: “If you’ve bought the affected product, do not consume it if you have an allergy or intolerance to milk or follow a vegan diet.

“Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.”

Tesco White Fondant Icing 500g

Some packs of the baking product have been incorrectly packed with Tesco Marzipan 500g.

This means they contain almonds not mentioned on the packaging.

Shoppers should check for the best before date of September 2022 and batch code 21175.

The affected products can be returned to stores for a full refund.

Asda

The Traditional Welsh Sausage Company sausages

The retailer has recalled the sausages that are also sold by supermarkets including Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Aldi.

Some packs may contain gluten (wheat) which is not declared on the packaging.

The recall was issued for ‘Edwards of Conwy six Traditional Pork Sausages’ in 400g.

They have the best before dates of September 11, 12, 21 and 25.

Some shoppers may have frozen the items, so are urged to check for all dates.

Anyone who has bought the recalled dates and has an allergy or intolerance can return it to stores for a full refund.

Sainsbury’s

The Original SFC Bargain Box

The supermarket giant has an ongoing warning for the chicken product.

All barcodes and dates up to and including September 30, 2022 have been recalled.

This is as they could contain buttermilk which is not on the ingredient list.

A Sainsbury’s statement said: “We are asking all customers who have an intolerance to dairy not to consume it and to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store where they will receive a full refund.  

“No other products have been affected by this issue.”

Supermarkets will regularly update their websites with details of recalled products and customers can find the latest guidance.
