Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte 2019 release date is approaching sooner than you think

The 2019 release date for Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is quickly approaching, and it may be available sooner than you think. While August tends to close out summer with some of the hottest temperatures of the year (hello, heat wave!), it also serves as the unofficial kick-off to fall with students going back-to-school, NFL pre-season tailgates and yes, the release of the legendary Pumpkin Spice Latte.

The 2019 Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte release date

Starbucks has yet to confirm the official 2019 release date, but according to an internal memo obtained by Business Insider, it’s coming to stores on Aug. 28.  

This is the exact date that Starbucks released the PSL last year. However, the earliest the Pumpkin Spice Latte has ever made its iconic comeback was on Aug. 26 back in 2014, and the latest was on Sept. 5 in 2015.

Starbucks has already released some pumpkin spice items

On Aug. 1, Starbucks released a fourth flavor to its lineup of brand new coffee creamers and you guessed it—it’s pumpkin spice-flavored. The coffee creamer, as well as seven other pumpkin spiced products, are rolling into grocery stores as we speak.

From pumpkin spice ground coffee and K-cups to bottled lattes and cookie straws, you can already feed your pumpkin spice cravings. (Although we agree, nothing tastes the same or as good as the original PSL made by a barista.)

Other Starbucks drinks coming in August

In the document shared by Business Insider, two other Starbucks drinks will be making their comeback at the end of the month as well: the Salted Caramel Mocha and the Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte.

The Salted Caramel Mocha combines Starbucks’ signature espresso and milk with mocha sauce, toffee and toasted nut flavors, and is topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce and sea salt. The Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte mixes chai tea, milk and pumpkin spice sauce with a pumpkin spice topping including cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves.

Needless to say, it won’t be too long until you can order yourself a Pumpkin Spice Latte. And in the event that you cannot wait, here’s a recipe to make your own at home.
