Quorn has a new takeaway range – featuring wings, burgers and strips

Swapping a meaty Friday night takeaway for a plant-based version is just one small thing we can do to help the environment.

And the more vegan options out there, the easier it is to make the switch.

Thankfully, Quorn has a new food range that’s dedicated to exactly that.

The brand’s new takeaway collection features a selection of goodies that are perfect for enjoying in front of the TV, or sharing with friends that come round.

First up in the ‘fakeaway’ options is a twist on fried chicken – a Quorn Crunchy Fillet Burger. It’s made up of a chicken-style fillet coated in a fennel and smoked paprika coating.

Those who can handle heat can feast on the Quorn Buffalo Wings, which are topped with a hot and spicy flavouring, plus a cayenne pepper crumb coating.

Following in the footsteps of Quorn’s popular nuggets, some crunchy strips will be on offer too – great for dipping and as a side.

The burger will be available in a two-pack at Asda from Monday (October 18), coming in at £2.50, while the wings and strips will land a little later on November 1 – costing £3 per box.

Gill Riley, marketing director at Quorn, said: ‘As our evenings are getting colder and darker, we know our customers will be looking forward to cosy nights in with takeaways.

‘We’re excited to launch Quorn’s new takeaway range to enable families to have a fakeaway feast that is healthier for you and the planet. There is no better way to bring meat-free into your meals this winter.’

This exciting new launch comes at the same time as Greggs unveiling its vegan festive bake – which is made up of Quorn pieces and a vegan bacon crumb, as well as dairy-free pastry. This will be on sale from November 4.

So there are plenty of plant-based treats to pick up over the coming weeks.
