Marks and Spencer customers go wild for the alcoholic Christmas snow globes each year, and they often sell out quickly. However, the retailer has issued a warning to customers explaining that they are extremely low on stock on one flavour, urging shoppers to pick one up as soon as possible.

Marks and Spencer is adding to its snow globe range each year, after they became a hit with customers a couple of years back.

The liqueur, which lights up and includes edible 23-carat gold leaf, comes on its own as well in sets.

M&S decided to add new flavours this year, including a Blood Orange Light Up Snow Globe Gin Liqueur, which signs music, and a Madagascan Vanilla Rum Liqueur Snow Globe.

Customers can also buy a mixed case of six bottles of its Light Up Snow Globe Gin Liqueur for £120.

There is also a Blood Orange Light Up Musical Snow Globe Gin Liqueur Magnum available, retailing for £40.

The retailer is warning customers that it is running low on its Madagascan Vanilla Rum Liqueur Snow Globe.

In an update on their social media pages, M&S said: “DING DING! Important Snow Globe Update!

“Due to unprecedented demand, our Madagascan Vanilla Rum Liqueur Snow Globe has flown off the shelves, and we are down to our LAST REMAINING bottles in stores.

“If you have your heart set for a Christmas gift (or may have ‘tested’ one already purchased as a gift…) get yourself to an M&S store ASAP and grab one before they are gone (other members of the Snow Globe family still available, for now).”

In other supermarket news, an IT system glitch at Walkers has left supermarket shelves empty for weeks.

A spokesperson for the popular crisp brand said: “A recent IT system upgrade has disrupted the supply of some of our products.

“Our sites are still making crisps and snacks but at a reduced scale.

“We’re doing everything we can to increase production and get people’s favourites back on shelves.”

The manufacturer confirmed that crisps such as multipacks of ready salted, Quavers and Wotsits were amongst those affected.

The company is making one its biggest changes, upgrading to a new building.
