McDonald’s changes its menu regularly, often launching new items and scrapping some customer favourites. Today, it will get rid of five foods and replace them with new products.
McDonald’s has announced five new additions to its menu, launching today until mid-August.
The new products will be available at all of the fast-food giant’s restaurants for four weeks, or until they sell out.
The new items come just two weeks after McDonald’s introduced the McSpicy burger to its menu.
This new product caused eruption on social media, with some fans delighted with the new burger and others dismayed.
One person wrote: “The McSpicy bangs. I’m going to need a petition for it to be permanent.”
Another person said: “McSpicy burger unpredictably great.”
Meanwhile, one McDonald’s customer commented: “I had the McSpicy twice and wouldn’t purchase again.”
Another customer added: “The new McSpicy from McDonald’s is disgusting.”
One of the new products to launch today is the BBQ Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
This burger is similar to McDonald’s iconic Quarter Pounder with Cheese, but with a twist.
The addition of BBQ sauce to the burger makes it an entirely different product, which has never been sold in the UK before.
The item launched in Canada earlier this year under the name Western BBQ Quarter Pounder.

The burger comes either as one beef pattie, priced at £5.09 as a meal with fries and a drink, or as two beef patties, costing £6.09 for a meal with fries and a drink.
Another item to be added to McDonald’s menu is the Garlic Cheese Bites.
These cheesy snacks come in a single portion of five or a larger sharing box.
The box of five costs £1.89 and the larger box is priced at £5.09.
The other two products to be launched today are McFlurries.
Two new flavours are returned to the fast-food chain’s restaurants.
Twix and Mars McFlurries have not been seen at McDonald’s since 2019.
The McFlurries cost 99p each for a mini version and £1.49 for a full-sized portion.
However, the addition of these ice creams mean two other flavours will be disappearing.
McDonald’s will today scrap its Aero Chocolate and Aero Mint McFlurries.
To make room for the new burger and the cheesy bites, the fast-food chain will also remove the BBQ Bacon Stack from its menu.
McDonald’s often introduces new items to its restaurants, but they are available for a limited time only.
