Lidl is selling a pumpkin spice biscuit spread that looks like Biscoff

Pumpkin spice season is well and truly upon us – but it’s not just coffee that’s getting an annual makeover.

Lidl is selling a biscuit spread that’s very in-keeping with the season – and it looks like a twist on the popular Biscoff variety. 

The pumpkin spice cookie spread is available now in the supermarket, and has been spotted by @helenjtea on Instagram.

She shared a snap of the pot, alongside another new flavoured spread – strawberry cheesecake – writing: ‘The flavours in these are just perfect. The spiced cookie is basically like pumpkin flavoured Biscoff and the strawberry cheesecake had a definite cheesecake tang. Definitely recommend.’

There’s no denying it will taste great slathered on toast and used in a variety of different baking recipes – just like Biscoff spread does.

It’s also the perfect sweet treat ahead of the upcoming Halloween weekend. So why not try adding it to this simple four-step recipe for pumpkin spice cookies, for some extra oomph?

Quite frankly, we are just thrilled that things have moved away from pumpkin spice spam.

However, Lidl isn’t the only supermarket upping its spread game – M&S also recently brought out a Golden Blond Chocolate option, made with white chocolate and caramel with wafer pieces.

Or, if you’re looking for more goodies over the coming months, Ben & Jerry’s has unveiled a new vegan ice cream – salted caramel brownie.

The new plant-based flavour – which will be on sale in November – is made with fudge brownie pieces buried amongst caramel non-dairy ice cream, and is finished off with a salted caramel swirl.
