12/28/2020

Looking to make sure your luck is at an all-time high heading into 2021, Burger King Japan is releasing a special “Spicy Yakuyoke Whopper” blessed by monks.

Meant to ward of evil spirits and bad luck, this new Whopper references the yakuyoke talismans that many collect at temples to bring in a prosperous new year. Each burger has been blessed at Tokyo’s Jindaiji Temple and is layered with garlic chips and chili powder from Kyoto. The sandwich is finished with a cleansing yakuyoke mint.

This limited-time Burger King Whopper is on sale for one more day in Tokyo for a price of ¥780 JPY (approximately $7.50 USD).
