You Can Soon Own a Luxury Watch Designed by Ryan Gosling

As if you needed another reason to covet TAG Heuer watches, along comes Ryan Gosling. The 40-year-old actor is the new face of the luxury Swiss watch brand, but the actor is more than just a handsome mug to sell timepieces retailing in the thousands. According to a recent WWD interview with TAG Heuer CEO Frédéric Arnault, Gosling will actually design his own luxury watch with the brand.

“His involvement goes beyond a typical ambassador,” Arnault told WWD, adding, “He’s going to design his own watch for himself. There are many things we’re going to do together.”

While a Gosling watch is likely a long way out, the actor’s first campaign with the brand has already been released. In the campaign, Gosling models the brand’s new Carrera Three Hands model, which is inspired by the brand’s motor racing heritage.

The campaign marks the first time Gosling has partnered with a brand in his entire prolific career. While designing a luxury watch may be somewhat unexpected for the actor, the partnership isn’t totally out-of-the-blue. Gosling has been a longtime fan of the noted brand and says that the theme of time is a big influence on his current life, drawing him to the partnership.

“Partnering with them was an easy decision and time, in general, is just something I think a lot about now,” Gosling said in a release. “My kids are growing up fast so I keep an eye on the clock in a way I never used to.”
